The Challenge

The client required a complete structural split of their digital presence following a corporate sale of part of their business and trading name. While the original brand retained separate departments, the bowls division needed to transition fully to an independent online identity. The existing ecommerce platform had to be duplicated and modified seamlessly to ensure the new business could start trading under its unique name without any loss of historical customer data. It was essential to isolate bowls-related products, remove irrelevant content streams, alter the navigation menus, and disconnect the previous retail management software. The transition required careful execution to avoid disruption to existing trade, manage payment processing changes, and protect valuable search engine visibility across domains.

The Solution

We completed a complete duplication and strategic rebrand of the WooCommerce website to form the new digital platform. Our development team built a staging environment to cleanly filter out non-bowls attributes, clear redundant media files, and modernise the overall shopping experience. As the chosen digital agency, Echo implemented creative layout enhancements, repositioning product filters and image thumbnails to the left of the screen to establish a traditional, highly intuitive user journey. A modern, responsive interface was launched utilising a client-supplied colour scheme and logo asset, complete with independent transaction processing and custom WooCommerce online returns workflows. To smoothly guide historical traffic, we engineered interactive popups and select URL redirections across the original website platform to safely transfer customers.
