Kale & Damson

Kale & Damson is a B2B supplier of high-quality fresh fruit and vegetables in Cambridge, providing produce to restaurants and other businesses within the hospitality trade. They were an existing client who had asked to look into refreshing both the overall website design and content. The primary goal for the redesign was to create a new "online showcase" to prospective clients and reflect a premium feel, while strictly focusing on their B2B services and not promoting their small B2C shop.

When the Kale & Damson team approached us, their main priority was replacing their existing website with a modern, bespoke solution. They wanted a design that was clean, light, and premium, presenting information with crystal clarity. Key functional requirements included a dedicated Produce section, a Careers area to push job applications, and pages outlining Team benefits and Mission & Values. A major concern was that their current images were from a winter season shoot and would soon appear outdated, meaning the new site needed to be easy to update with new photography.

We designed and developed a fully bespoke WordPress website, confirming the platform was suitable for their requirements, SEO, and content editing. The development includes creating flexible custom blocks for key areas, such as the Produce section and the Careers section. The Careers page is designed to link job cards externally to a job board while also including a contact form for speculative applications with a CV upload. Functionally, the site features two clear CTA buttons in the sticky header, one for "Become a Customer" and one for "Shop online", along with Mailchimp integration and a Customer Account Application form. With the new design and structure, Kale & Damson now have a professional, scalable B2B digital platform.
