The ChallengeWe were approached by the directors at MDS to design and build a new website that would highlight their range of services, and showcase the training opportunities available for potential members interested in pursuing a career in food management.
The SolutionWe created a bespoke, fully responsive website using the WordPress platform for ease of use, flexibility, and security. The whole site was built to enable easy updating and management by the MDS team, including the members portal.
The OutcomeThe result is a fresh, modern website that showcases all the relevant information potential members may need in an easily accessible way. The site is optimised for SEO purposes, has social media links, and is designed to perform seamlessly on all devices.
Established in 1986, MDS is the UK’s leading provider of management training within the food industry. It is a not for profit organisation, founded to develop leaders to work across all areas of the food supply chain.
Stand out features of the build include a members portal, member directory with embedded map, online job vacancy board and a review section where members, present and past, offer their experiences on the MDS journey.
Working closely with MDS’ IT team we developed an API which links the website job applications straight through to their internal management system via an existing Azure database. This fundamental change helped automate the data input of hundreds of job applications per month and improve the current recruitment process, saving a great deal of time across the team.
